Been predicted on RedVee for some while. In fact, around the same time the Nathan Brown appointment was announced!

I reckon we will slaughter the Giants on the 18th. Don't know why!

Plus according to Shaun McRae they are giving a huge pay packet too in order to "poach" him from the Humbersiders. Imagine spending a huge chunk of your limited salary cap on a player in the twilight of his career (32)

He might get a game in our U20s when our junior players are out on loan. This is the type of signing we would have made when we were in decline! Hock, H and Faz could knock him into a cocked hat!

If this is the best that Saints can do then they are not a team in transition they are a team in turmoil. Definitely a backward step in my view.

Hull FC have today moved to end speculation regarding the future of 32-year-old forward Willie Manu, confirming he is now free to speak to other clubs.

The long serving out-of-contract second rower, who joined the Black and Whites in 2007, has turned down a number of significant contract offers to stay at the KC Stadium and will now look elsewhere for a new deal for 2013 and beyond.

The club have confirmed they have given permission for other clubs to approach Manu and his representatives and they expect his future will be resolved imminently.

Director of Rugby, Shaun McRae, commented, “We’re obviously disappointed that Willie has decided to finish his career away from Hull FC, but we wish him well for the future.

“He has been a good servant to the club and a popular player with our supporters and he will leave us in the highest regard.

“We made Willie a number of large offers that would have made him considerably one of the highest earners at the club, but he has decided to look for a contact elsewhere.

He added, “We look forward to him wanting to finish his tenure as a Hull player on a high with some strong performances for the remainder of the season.”

As said, he's gonna soak up a huge chunk of someones salary cap!
