Heard the other day that talk around Cork in Ireland from close friends of Brian Carney is that next year he is leaving Wigan and going down under, probably to play for Shaun McCrae.

It is what he has wanted for some time. The club (or rather, Mr Lindsey if you really want to point the finger of blame) wouldn't release him from his contract for this season, but he will be going after this season ends.

Which would mean he would need to be released form his contract early. It idoes not end at theend of this season.

We clearly aren't letting Farrell go for free so the same will surely apply to Carney. If theyewant him or he wants to go suitable compensation must be forthcoming.

If he is going to go to Souths then they probably would have a fair bit of money to offer him. They've made a couple of big buys this year but there's still plenty of room (and money) to buy more. They're starting to show some real promise under the new coach too.

We are going to lose Farrell and Carney, two of the driving forces of the club, we need to do some serious recruitment next season!

We need another prop and a winger more then anything else. As this is where the injury problems we have in the last 2 years.

Also need a big hitting second rower. The nucelus of a good side is there but needs time and a couple more personel.

Couldnt liam colbon be our new winger? With a few more games i think he'll be getting there, hes the biggest winger we've had at the club in a while. I think we should look for two new BRITISH wingers when carney and dallas go, i dont think there is much wrong with our second row apart from they need bulking up a bit.
