Coincidence?

Post by TonyH »

Don't want to tempt fate but last time we won the GF we were knocked out of the CC by Leeds in the semi final who went on to get beat by Wire at Wembley and we finished top of the league before beating Saints at Old Trafford, history gonna repeat itself?

While I hope you are correct, Leeds beat us in the cup quarter final at Headingley (I think they beat Saints in the semi).

It was in the quarters, cos I'd been in hospital & it was my first game after missing two & yes KW it was pi88ing down

Last year was the first year out of the previous three that we hadn't met them in the preliminary rounds
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

There was the whole thing with the Leeds players celebrating in front of the Wigan end and bottles getting pelted at Smith. It was definitely headingley QF
