Wane on KR Team Selection

Wigan return to Stobart Super League action on Sunday at Hull KR and the Warriors could welcome back Tommy Leuluai to the side.

Tommy has been sidelined since June injuring his ankle whilst playing for the Exiles against England at St Helens.

Head Coach Shaun Wane admitted the possible return of the talented Kiwi is a massive boost to everyone coming into the business end of the season,

"Tommy has a chance of playing this weekend and we will assess him tomorrow. I had always looked at the Hull KR game for him, it is not 100% he will play but if we can have him play for half an hour then great. He is a great player and a great asset. Before he got injured we were playing some great rugby and to have him back before the Play-Offs is a bonus."

On the other injuries, Shaun told us,

"Ben Flower is fit again but Paul Prescott is out for the season, he had an operation on his knee last week but Stuart Fielden is again available for selection.I have more or less a fully fit squad."

That is fantastic, Tommy, Paddy and Stuart all fit and ready for the Grand Final. Hopefully we'll get Stains in the final and make it another runner up Grand Final trophy for them. :devi:

God I hate that phrase. Another of Stevo's inventions to basically reaffirm that the 27 matches we mugs stump up for count for jack shit!

Be good to see Tommy back if only for the predicted 30mins.A great asset to the team.Need him match fit more for the play offs than the Hkr and Stains game.So if SW is going to play him then I sincerely hope it is a gradual build up to a full return.A fitting end to Tommy and Brett's career with us would be a Grand Final win. :D

Would love to see him in action even if it's only 30 mins.
I think his presence alone, will (would) give the rest of the team a great lift.
