Im not sure when the deal he made where he couldnt talk to other clubs for 3 years ends but if it has ended or is going to end shortly I can unfortunately see this happening this season and if not certainly next. He has won every major thing there is to win with the Grand Final, Challenge Cup Final and now the Man of Steel and has expressed great interest. ''Playing in Australia and challenging myself against the best rugby league players in the world definitely greatly appeals to me'' where his exact words. Other ones sound like rumours though.

I'll say one thing for Sam atleast he's been openly honest about it from the start. Not like he's said he's Wigan til he retires. Long as he honours the contract I'm ok with that and hopefully we have another superstar in development.

I agree Tony, Sam is an honourable guy and I think he will be at Wigan for two more seasons and then weigh up his options. IFL knows that the current deal will allow him to cash in. Let's be honest, there is no way that we can compete with offers from the NRL or RU.

My view:

1. No, he will be at Wigan for the next two years as per his contract.
2. No, Wane is not going anywhere.
3. No, I don't think Hocky would settle away from Wigan.
4. Yes, he got sent off for it!

I just hope any player who leaves our club does so to go and play a better level of Rugby League in the NRL and doens't do so to go play Union. I hope that when Sam can talk to others at the end of 2014 then he talks to NRL clubs only - not the RFU.

Wigan will keep bringing players through that are good enough to compete at the level of the game in this country. Anyone above that level should be paid more to play Rugny League and not to put their feet up in the backs of a Union team.

If Nigel Wood could drag his snout out of the trough for long enough, he might eventually realise this. But I'm not holding my breath!

Sam is going to go at some point, its up to Leneghan to get the best deal possible he can for Wigan and make sure there is a successor for Sam. Would be disappointed to see hock tun his back on Wigan after we stuck by him through his suspension, think he owes us more than that personally!

is there a chance this Matty Russell deal is part of a bigger deal. say in two years when Sam can leave Gold Coast offer him the most money and they do a swap deal with Russell so he has two years in the NRL to learn his trade and allows us to get a good young full back in return fo losing Sam

4- Mickey Mac... I am sure you accidently put 'naughty' instead of 'nice' as a proper headline for that rumour.

Isn't it a bit worrying if playing for Wigan isnt enough nowadays. (along with Clarke in the 90s who got bored of winning everything)
