Wigan Warriors have today announced that they have extended their Seasonal Membership Renewal Deadline until 5pm on Monday 19th November to allow fans extra time to renew their seat at the DW Stadium for 2013.

After taking feedback from fans into consideration, the Club have given an additional 7 days for everyone who held a season ticket in 2012 to secure their existing seat at the renewal price.

Warriors Marketing Director, Simon Collinson commented,

"Having listened to feedback from fans we have become aware that a portion of the Membership Renewal packs have been delayed in delivery due to unforeseen circumstances.

"To ensure that all fans get a fair chance to reclaim their seat for the new season at the renewal price, we have extended the deadline by one week. By this time we hope all renewal packs will have been received."

By renewing, fans can save up to 15% on the full price of a 2013 Seasonal Membership and make an event greater saving against purchasing individual match tickets.

The Wigan Club are also keen to remind fans that the Timeout Payment Plan allows supporters the opportunity to purchase their season ticket over four manageable instalments between now and May 2013 *.

Fans are also reminded they have the chance to customise their membership to suit them through a series of extras that are available to bolt-on to their chosen package. These extras include subscriptions to Wigan TV and the new digital edition of the Matchday Programme, a new and exclusive Members Gift Pack and seasonal Matchday parking at the DW Stadium.

Seasonal Memberships can be renewed by visiting the DW Stadium Ticket Office in person (Monday-Friday 9am-5pm or Saturday 9am-12noon), via Warriors E-Tickets via by [clicking here] or by phoning the Ticket Hotline on 0871 66-33-552.

Any reserved seats that are not renewed will now be released for general sale on Tuesday 20th November 2012.

If the club would clear up the controversy with the Gareth Hock saga perhaps it may help people renew!!

The club seems intent on keeping the club in the dark again

I appreciate what you are saying about the club keeping us in the dark Josie, but IMO Hock going or not should have little bearing on season ticket renewals.

I didnt think "I wont bother this season" when he was banned for two years. Financial reasons IMO would have a greater impact on the number of people buying season tickets

I'm in no doubt that the deadline date has been put back because not as many people have renewed. I don't suppose many people turned around and said " I won't bother this season" when Hock was banned for 2 yrs but I for one am holding back my own renewal because I think to lose Hock now so soon after us losing Lima, Finch, Tommy and Carmont will be devastating for the team.
I reckon people have got every right to hold back on renewing until the club make some big name signings to replace who we've lost. As the squad currently stands especially without Hock I reckon we're a top eight side at best. Personally i'd rather miss the deadline date and pay a few extra quid if and when new quality signings are announced.

Yes that is exactly where I am having been a season ticket holder for 30 years.

You bet your money it is and the main reason is discontentment with the present top eight play off format which has resulted in 5th placed Leeds winning the title for the last two years and prompting many supporters to ask themselves 'Whats the point of buying a season ticket to see your team win as many matches as they can to finish top of the pile and then see a club ten points behind win the title'

Totally agree with you there. The whole play off format is a farce. The team that finishes top of the league at the end of the season is rewarded with a crappy piece of tin that nobody gives a toss about even though they have been the most consistent team over the 27 matches. Then as you say a team that has been mediocre for the best part of the season goes on a bit of a run of form and takes the main trophy of the season and are deemed champions.
I'm seriously considering putting my season ticket money to one side and save it to pay for the play off matches instead. What's the point of supporting your team for the whole season, seeing them win the league and then see them get very little credit for doing it?
If the Rugby league want to have an end of season play off between the top eight sides so be it but more reward should be given to the team that finishes top over the whole regular season. I think people would show a bit more enthusiasm if this were the case.

I have already renewed my ST whether Gareth is still at the club or not, but a great many people I know are considering not renewing & it is not just about the club keeping their cards close to their chest, it's about the whole way the game is being run & it has already been brought up that mediocracy throughout the season is rewarded by being named as Champions for winning three games while consistency throughout the year over twenty seven games is not regarded at all!

I've said for years that the League Leaders should be better acknowledged & rewarded.
