Couldn't understand at first why an our away fixture would be controlled by the Latics playing their game :doz:
So does this mean we will churn up a pitch 24 hours before a sacred football match is played?

Yes that's exactly what it means - but no smirking is allowed under RFL rules. (In fact there's no smirking in any stadium these days!).
Anyway, the expresssion is "schadenfreude". It's a German word implying pleasure at someone else's misfortune. It literally translates as "sod the football - it should learn its place and make way for rugby league"

I'm fully conversant in German and Schadenfreude. Rivalries aside for once though, how good would it be for Wigan to invade Huddersfield twice in one weekend and bring back the spoils?

Even though my dear old Yorkshire mum would turn in her grave!

Huddersfield Ticket Update

Wigan Warriors have today received a further allocation of 500 tickets for the John Smith's Stand (unreserved seating behind the posts) for the Super League 2013 fixture with Huddersfield Giants to be played on Saturday 16th February 2013 at The John Smith's Stadium (3.00pm kick off).

These tickets will remain on sale until 4pm on Friday but tickets will be available for collection also between 9am and 12pm from the DW Stadium on Saturday morning.

Junior (Under 16) seasonal members are entitled to free entry upon production of away junior voucher number four at the DW Stadium Ticket Office. These will be available to exchange on the turnstiles on matchday, but supporters are advised to exchange them in advance at the DW Stadium Ticket Office.

Coach travel is also available via the DW Stadium Ticket Office for this fixture, costing £10.00 for concessions, seasonal members and Loyal 18 members and £11.00 for non-members. These will leave Sharpy's Restaurant (DW Stadium) at 11.30am and Parson's Walk (opposite The Wheel) at 12.00pm.

A reminder that matchday admission costs £3 more when compared to buying tickets in advance.

Over 65's £15.00 (£18.00 on matchday)

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
