Drug cheats

Post by jolleymike »

Just been listening to on the BBC news Chanel, how far reaching does the lance Armstrong type of investigation go.

The NRL is mentioned in this with a whole team being involved in one way or another, scary just hope the allegations don't reach to teams over in the SL

So is this the reason for Antipodean dominance? And will it mean England have a chance in the world cup?

I can't understand what the problem, there is nothing wrong with Drugs both recreational and performance enhancing, the offenders should be happy to get caught, they get to have a 2 year break from the intensities of the game yet still get to train thanks to their clubs giving them personal trainers, there is also the nice back hander in the brown envelope they will receive during this time, then when their break is over they can sign a nice shiny new 5 year contract and be treated like the messiah by all their faithful fans

For peptide hormones read hGH - and it's just as bad over here as over there. Just look around the superleague at the number of players who are exhibiting symptoms of giantism with malformed eyebrow ridges and overly large chins and hands. Frightening.

The test that caught Terry Newton is highly sensitive, but needs to be administered literally within hours of taking the drug, so it's no real deterrant.

Listening to a aussie reporter on radio.Says this is a goverment lead investigation on all sports in australia it is just that aussie rules and rugby league are the 2 largest sports there. He did say that a 2 year ban would be imposed regardless of who it was and how many. As there is talk that as many as 15 from 1 single team could be involved From aussie rules game. This could lead to entire clubs being unable to field a team and bringing in pub players. (in his words).Mind boggling the implications if this is done as suggested all sportsmen in aussie tested.
