Outstanding Team Spirit

Post by josie andrews »

Wigan's head of Sports Science has been speaking to Wigan tv about the team's solidarity this season - calling their team spirit "outstanding."

In his weekly 'Bitcon On Training' feature, he praised the side for staying positive, saying:

"There's been a great mood from the start with this group.

Even when we've been up against it with injuries, the team spirit has been outstanding.

It helps having a lot of young Wiganers in the squad. It means a lot to play for the jersey and the badge."

Bitcon also talked about the England training squad as they prepare for a special team building camp this weekend AND the challenges they expect from Leeds. See it ONLY on www.wiganwarriors.com/tv

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

I enjoyed listening to Mark Bitcon speak on Wigan TV. He seems very knowledgable and composed which comes through during the interview, even when players are kicking a ball at his head. He seems to know what he wants to get out of the players in terms of fitness and conditioning.

I thought so too Brian :) At the end of the game the players came right up to the Wigan fans to show their appreciation of the turn out. They stood clapping us for quite a few minutes as well :)
