When we are given injury updates, quite often there is no mention of Prescot which must be pretty hurtful to the player.

Or does it mean that he has no future at the club?

Not heard anything for a while.

Maybe the injury news updates are covering players recently injured :(

I was thinking the same thing and thinking whether there was anything more going on in the background with Preccy that means we aren't hearing about his status at all - maybe those who are well connected know if there is anything else to be said or just what Josie says about maybe long-term injuries aren't being included in updates.

Last I heard more likely to retire than play again due to ongoing injury.

If that's true it's a shame, don't like players getting injured and having to retire no matter who they play for.

Thought he was recovering from his back op? There were pictures of him with the team in wetsuits training the other week though so I was thinking he wasn't that far off.

You've got to think how the young players have come through since he's been injured though - Crosby, Burke, Dudson... even Flower and now Spencer weren't getting much of a look in last year when Paul had the 8 shirt.

Going to be a tough ask for him to force his way back into this squad

:conf:

It is, but if that's the advice he's been given then I hope he takes it. One John Burke in my lifetime is still one too many!

The little I know is that Preccy has been slogging his guts out to return for a very long time and some advice was retire, some was play on. Who knowswhat he will finally decide. He is not stupid, far from it.

I think his intelligence and the degree he has etc will help him have a way out better than most, which is probably why he has a tough decision to make.

Looks like he's taken the advice CP. just been told he's hanging his boots up. So sad when such a committed player has to quit so young!
