I will stick to FB thanks.

Think there was something once on twitter for this site but I don't go on so not sure if its still there or not.
There is/was a facebook group for this site i'm sure. Also, doesn't cherry.pie run a twitter account sort of related to this site? called @wiganrugbyfans

These are the two biggest things to gain exposure on the net at the moment. You could link every new news article to your twitter account so that anyone who follows you can read it via coming onto the site

I'm not here to gain any exposure to my forum though. I understand what you mean by salesman though lol. Maybe its because I've been backtracking a bit after offending most of the regular members on here.
Being a mod/admin on a forum isn't anything like running a website which has full coverage of a club not just the first team, it's worlds apart. Here's an example around 2001 I made a mortal kombat website which people liked a lot, enough in fact that MortalKombat.com invited me to help out on their official site for the upcoming game Mortal Kombat 5.
Here's the point apart from the graphic design side I dealt with you cannot possibly imagine the amount of effort it takes to keep a live news source and information database up to date. It isn't just bbcode on a forum template and to even compare the two is an insult to the people here who put in the hard work.
A flashy website means nothing if it doesn't give you what you need, this place is functional, well run and the mods/admin are friendly and respectful. What else is needed?
I agree completly with you This site runs great with the main purpose of all warriors fans airing there views on anything they like.My view is IF IT'S NOT BROKE DON'T FIX IT.Why go all commercialised when 99% of fans know the site exists anyway.I am sure If Mike needs help in any way including donations to help run site he will ask. It's a rl forum for gods sake and should be treated as such.

I am very happy to help out where possible.
Just out of interest, how many people would be willing to donate £10 for 12 months extended privileges on the site and be a part of the decision making on the site?
I realise both are different, but I think if more people have more of an interest in this site, and have more privileges, they will be online more often and be more willing to update news, players profiles etc.
I do see a lot of potential on this site and would love to see it prosper. That said, I understand that users that have used this site for a long time will be reluctant to change. Its the way we work. We don't like change as the human species.
Also, if anyone is interested in looking at the forum I have helped build, pm me and I'll give you a link.
You seem to have some good ideas and contacts so Welcome!!! :) :)

Site is fine as it is IMO. Why the sudden exposure and money talk? A but odd to me

Plus having read through I find it somewhat of an insult if I am honest. If you've been here long enough you'll realise that the site has done a lot. Even I won a signed rugby ball from sponsorship and auctioned it off for 80 quid to Mr. Grayway all money to Mike. I even made car window stickers to sell with profits going back to here... May not be a lot of cash in the end (£90 to make) but still...

Seems like a slap in the face.

No offence BP but the site you highlighted is nothing more than a forum, the standard type you can obtain easily with a twitter feed attached. I was expecting something amazing.

Amazing in what way? A news feed or something? We are just a forum I thought I made that pretty clear.
Oh, and seeing as you said no offence, does that mean i should take offence?

Yes you are just a forum, what could you possibly offer as way of help by the admin seeing your forum?

You might of done this with all good intentions but come off looking like a fool

Yes, there's nothing special about his forum, in fact this one looks far better and has far more information. However, there is no reason to mean Kaii, you're just doing what Blackpool_Pie did with his opening few posts by saying that.

Just my opinion, but a forum is about an exchange of opinions on the topics discussed and not an exchange of opinions about the people posting them. More often than not, this place gets the right tone going, but not on this thread at times - although that started with the subject title.
