Cats game ???

I think somebody else mentioned it. I am thinking we should not send any of our Wembley 17. Play those not selected for the final and our young prospects. Wane might be better staying at home too and doing some training sessions with the Cup Final squad.

There's two ways of looking at the French trip, as it may seem obvious to take a reserve side over (if the RFL allows such a selection ?). This would protect the squad ok, and may allow them a bit of breathing space during a heavy programme, letting them concentrate on the week ahead.
However, having the week off is not always the answer if you look at the SL Play-off's, when more often than not, the Team having the week off has lost (usually to Leeds) and from past seasons it appears the coaches are split on the benefits or not of the free week.
The other way is to just rest our key players and those carrying injuries like Sam & Lockers, and allow the rest of the team to keep the momentum going so we go to Wembley in the most competent situation. Especially our Halves who look like they do need games to recover the form they had before their injuries. They have a key role to play.
Hull also have similar decisions to make because I think their game pre-Wembley, is against Hull KR - arguably their biggest game of the season, for obvious reasons. So at least they'll be pre-occupied like we are the week before the Final with selection dilemmas.

Hull also have the issue of being 8th at the mo. They want to win the cup obvioulsy, but will have to have an eye on the playoffs. We don't have to finish first, but I would like to and I'm sure Wane would want to, so he might not make wholesale changes.
Sam, Pat, Lockers, Mossop, MM, HH would be the most I'd leave out. We could also give some a week off this week. things might be different if we lose to KR and Hudds, but I don't see that happening.

What about Liam Farrell getting a rest?? He's not missed a game & his form from the early part of the season seems to have faltered a little bit! Is he tired??

He actually didn't play 80 minutes on Saturday, which is rare! He's one of the players I'd consider giving a rest this week.

I do not see how it would be worth risking the likes of Lockers, Sam etc so close to the final

Rest the spine, 1,6,7,13,9 I would also rest Faz as Josie quite rightly points out he's not missed a game and played far to many minutes.
Clearly anyone who has a knock shouldn't play.

The game (Final) is so important. From a self interest POV it could mean the difference between a new contract or not for Wane.

Why?
Because if he wins something IL will definitely be looking to retain him. If he fails to get his team to deliver in big games like last season then IL might look elsewhere. I assume that is what CP means anyway.
