Carney

Just been on GMR Carney out for 6 weeks. Can't believe that any one player can be so unlucky. I seriously doubt this guys commitment. He is a luxury we can no longer afford. He is tying up one of our 20/20 spots. Problem is, who will take him off our hands with his track record?[/b]

You obviously weren't around when we signed Nigel Wright then!

I sure was buddy! and long before that to. Carney is a clone of Wright, talented but lacking in desire.

How does desire affect knee ligaments? It's not as if he's crying off with a bit of a headache! The desire was obvious the way he played against Leigh. A bit less desire and he might not have injured himself.

i can see both parts of the argument here he is a good player but he is also always injured. i like the lad but you cant carry anyone because of the salary cap. i say give him another chance and see how it goes. if he gets injured again this season get rid. :sly: :sly:

My money is on him getting fit for the last few games (obviously not counting the play-offs, as we will struggle to reach them), in time to get for enough to play for GB and get on Grandstand. And then he'll be off to the other code.

We sure are getting full value from our salary cap this year.

i personally think we are trying to rush him into playing again to quickly. Why play him a full 80mins against Leigh when he has only just come back from injury?

The NRL is actually the same code, they just play it to a higher standard than we do.

But it's a totally unrelated injury. Newton was taken off as a precaution, but you can't do that for everyone.
