Got a hot rumour from a source inside the club, or just something you heard down the pub? Then what are you waiting for, post it on The Rumour Mill.

Just saw this today

Don't take offence anyone please :)
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Wise words Josie.

Just a damn pity that sometimes the rumours are so interesting, you just have to tell somebody.

In a hotel lobby, I once asked an American lady if she'd pressed the button for the lift. She said yes, and its called an elevator!

I told her that we call it a lift.

She pointed out that America invented the elevator.

I told her again its called a lift and we invented the language!

Well I work for an American company and we are certainly divided by a common language at times.

Whet gets me though is when British people adopt Americanism's. One of my pet hates is how people say the year out loud.

For me 2013 is said "Two-thousand and thirteen". Americans would say "Two-thousand Thirteen".

If you don't want to use "Two-thousand" you say "Twenty Thirteen".

Steve Wright (radio 2 DJ) is a culprit for this lazy way of speaking but what is worse I reckon he had to make a conscious effort to switch to that way of saying it as I am sure he would have been brought up to include the "and". That makes him an even bigger prat for doing it IMO.
