We will soon find out but I have been saying our attack has been rubbish for weeks now. It wasn't much better in the CC final but thankfully neither was Hull's and our defence did the rest.

We are averaging just over 15 points a match according to those stats and I'd be surprised if we can keep the likes of Hudds and Wire down to 15 when we concede just less than 23 on average anyway (again according to the above stats).

Wane, who recently had his contract extended at the DW Stadium, told BBC Radio Manchester: "We've got some huge games in front of us and we need to improve our performance.
"We are aware of that but I've got the players to do that."
As ever the papers go for sensation rather than fact. He's said we need to improve which is true and he also said, we've the players to do it, which is also true.

I know a lot of fans don't think he's up to it but SW has done it before and he can do it again and he's certainly no idiot nor is he arrogant.

No its the official reaction on the club web site and when he comes out with "I'm not too concerned about our form..." on the club web site no one is sensationalising anything.

Jobo if an outstanding employee took another employee under their wing for 2 years and then left them to it and it turned out that other employee had either learned nothing or not understood what the outstanding employee was trying to teach them day in day out for 2 years would the words idiot or arrogant not be appropriate?

Cheers A & L. That is even worse than I surmised. Even better IL took up a 12 month option and then extended it a or further 12 months in the midst of such dire results.

Just as an aside when the last time we lost so many successive SL matches as we have recently?

"I'm not too concerned about our form because I know we can do it and we have in the past, We weren't at our best today but at times we were OK. I know our players will want it again and we now have a huge game next Thursday at Huddersfield and we need a much improved performance."
You've got to take the quote in context. He knows we've got the players to do it and we've done it in the past. If he hadn't said "I'm not too concerned" then his statement is valid.

IMO, he just has an unfortunate way of putting things across, which as long as we are winning things I can put up with.

Btw, I'm as peed off as anyone about the way we are playing but again imo, don't think the blame lies with Wane.

But if the same employee was left with fewer and worse tools to work with then that would need factoring in before judging him.

The league table AnL's produced graphically outlines our fall from grace but after what happened last year and to some extent the year before, league form is fairly irrelevant.

Even though he picked quite a few of the tools himself (there is a pun in there somewhere...)?

And then of course you'd still have to ask could he not make better use of the tools anyway, which is what he said he would do.
