Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

anyone know why the Wigan high tackles of Dudson and Flower were considered by the panel yet the Warrington ones are not listed ?
Clearly with Cooper it was Pat's fault for going low, how tall is Pat ?
Four Wigan incidents cited but only two Warrington, the Westwood grade B is nonsense by any reading of the guidelines it should be D and interesting any sanction applied would apply to the England Italy friendly so clearly they are only going to give him one match

Vindicated. What are those moaning buggers at Wire (and Saints) going to raise next?

Looking in the cold light of day at Sky's coverage there were a few "tasty" moments, worst one was Wood kneeing Sam and then Sam lashing out with his foot....so probably considered "knock for Knock" :eh:

that's why victory was so sweet and the double even more so,that's gutted saints.
Ah yes but in 2006 Saints got the TREBLE because they came Top of the League that year as well. That's Top of the League, as opposed to the hubcap when we win it!

Cooper 'penalty sufficient' is more ridiculous to me. I wouldn't expect anything more than Grade B for Westwood based their normal grading efforts.

NRL guidelines would most likely have resulted in 6 - 8 matches.

Premeditated blow to the face without reason - player on ground and tackled - in no position to defend himself - likelihood of facial injury high.

Funny it didn't stop Micky Mac getting a massive ban last year.

Surely there can't be one law for some and one law for others.

of course the Aussies would have banned one of their players from playing in the world cup .lets get real Westwood was never going to get more than a match

In fairness to the Aussies, their Disciplinary system is more rigorously operated than ours, and each offence carries a narrow tariff that carries a defined sentence, with very little margin to shift about, unlike here.
As a consequence, there are very few Appeals made, as these sentences are in black & white and vary very little.

The NSW Blues lost their captain Paul Gallen from a crucial Origin match earlier this year, after the (predominant) NSW Disciplinary banned him for fighting.
