Check all your old tapes.. but can Betts give an after match interview without saying the word "..character.." I don't think he can.
He says it more than Andy Gregory used to say "...you know..."

we thought it was better than beating the scum last friday because we came back to win 21-15 and were losing 14-0 at alf time which we thought was fantastic. I like Denis Betts i think he is a gud coach.

not really when you consider the players that were out and being 14-0 down to the home side and to come back and win if the home side was saints instead of hull many people on here would be saying it was the best game of the decade.

Considering the squad that travelled to Hull, it was a mammoth effort, as Betts stated. Give the guy a break!

Goood job he will remain wigan coach hes done a great job. We can tell your back we need a coach.

FFS - The pessimists don't have keep circulating!
At the start of the season when we lost 3 games, it was sack the board/manager and players. Now we have beaten the 'scum' and Hull away, complaints about DB's style of post match interview are enough to call for his head!!!
Get a grip people. The team is being decimated by injuries, but have turned in performances of real guts and determination.
The thing that annoys me more than losing, is to lose and see the players not giving their all. If they put in 100% commitment and effort, and go down I can accept that. But to see a player not playing with pride for the shirt he wears, is tantamount to treason in my books, and they should be hanged. That cannot be said of the team at the moment!
Who cares what DB says in a post match interview - I don't. All I care about is the team, and seeing it develop. We are a top 3 side and the table doesn't lie.
Lets stop looking for reasons to bitch and moan, and be supportive of what the team and everybody at the club have done in the last 3-4 weeks. Be true fans and give encouragement, rather than constantly finding fault. Be happy because we have had a wonderful Easter weekend.
