Scott Moore has been released from the remainder of his North Queensland Cowboys contract in order to return to Super League ahead of the new season.
The former Huddersfield Giants and St Helens hooker leaves the NRL after one season with the Cowboys where he made six first-grade appearances.
"We have come to a mutual agreement with Scott that allows him to go home to England where he'll be able to continue his rugby league career," general manager Peter Parr the club's official website.
"We have no plans at this stage to fill the vacancy his departure leaves in our squad and we wish Scott, and his partner Emma, all the best in the future."
It remains to be seen where the well-travelled 25-year-old will end up with no Super League club yet to confirm the capture of Moore's signature.

I wonder if we are going to see more of this. Players going to Aus and not able to hack it.
Matty Russell went and came back. Did Sean Aniscough go to AUS? I think he may come back with out making a big impact.
