The coverage of any game requires agreement from both clubs. Leigh allowed live coverage, Saints allowed delayed coverage. You get a bloody good service via Wigan TV particularly now they seem to be sorting the website out, far better IMO than any other RL club and whatsmore the price is cheap. I used to purchase every game via DVD from Micron, 48 hours after the match with no commentary at £6 each and that was going up just as Micron sold their collection to the RFL.

CP Micron sold the games as the club wanted all games in high definition and equipment to do it was not worth the return, I know John from Micron and he told me this himself.

DDtftf John sold the past entire catalogue to the RFL. He tried to do it when they operated out of the portacabins on the industrial estate near Frog Lane. It fell through then but at Horwich he eventually sold the collection to the RFL.
Clubs are still free to sell the game if they so wish but Micron no longer can. At this stage Micron makes more capturing current games for the RFL / SKY.
I know when Micron were still selling DVDs to the general public they started producing blue DVD versions. Remember the existing collection cannot be recorded in HD, at best I think you could perhaps upscale it.
The saddest part of the collection is that at some point it was stored poorly and some of the master videos got damaged / corrupted so odd games from 84/5 are missing and lots of the Aus TV Winfield Coverage too.
