Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Lockers not playing? Injury?
Who will play in his place?
Hope history doesn't repeat itself like last year when he didn't play.

Is Daz injured?
Re: Wane Names Squad to Face Tigers
Last seasons home defeat was embarrassing in every way, out played and the low crowd deadly silent as the away fans took the piss. Maybe John Bateman will play loose forward and Bowen decides to turn up, trust in Wane

Lockers seems like he's falling apart. Thank goodness we signed Bateman.
Will the real Matty Bowen please stand up?

Well given his age and his commitment it's not surprising and is a big reason why we should not have sold H. I have said several times before we can't rely on Lockers fitness on-going.Exiled Wiganer wrote:Lockers seems like he's falling apart.
Bateman is a good signing. Bowen will take time to settle but just look at that 17. It is very, very weak.Thank goodness we signed Bateman.

Dave how is that 17 very very weak?
1 Bowen
2 Charnley
3 Gelling/Thornley
4 Sarginson
5 Burgess
6 Green
7 Smith
8 Taylor
9 McIlorum
10 Pettybourne/Flower
11 Clubb
12 Farrell
13 Bateman
Nothing wrong with that starting 13, you just love being negative

Re: Wane Names Squad to Face Tigers
Lockers' injury shows the wisdom in signing Bateman and Pettybourne, with all they give us in attack. I'd play Eddie in the second row and Clubb at prop. That gives us a very dangerous pack, with Flower, Taylor and Mac bossing the middle.
Re: Wane Names Squad to Face Tigers
I'd consider Clubb at loose forward and keep Bateman right SR, although Clubb looked best at prop so far. Bowen will have to play well with the half backs to get us in out wide without Lockers to play a part in the link play.
