Heard that Tony Clubb will be out for about six weeks.
And it looks like we have no forwards for Saturday ATM
Keep the Faith ????

This game will not define our season, it is more important to get players fully fit for the Challenge Cup tie against Cas.
I am looking forward to seeing how our younger players cope with the occasion, no amount of coaching will accelerate their learning more than playing in this fixture.

I don't know if it's looking so bleak. If lockers is fit, then I think that's all we'll need to add to be competitive enough over the next month, leading up to Cas. As Pettybourne was nearly fit for Friday, surely he'd be fit enough this week end. If so, we'd be stronger overall wouldn't we?

The league isn't at the business end of the season yet and it wouldn't bother me if we got 50 put past us on Saturday as long as we don't risk injured players and don't pick up any more knocks.
As others have said, our youngsters shouldn't be daunted by such a game and its a massive lift for them to play in this fixture. Is it worth risking Eddy, I'm not too sure on that, he's got to be 100, or not worth the risk.
Fit players against Cas is vital, it's a tough enough game with a fully fit Wigan squad.

I say give it to the kids.Run Peacock ragged. The Cas game is more important.

Looks like no one's back, according to Sky Sports. So we've 10 (or is it 11) out.
Such a shame as it would have been good to see us go toe to toe with something like a full team.

Being ever the optimist :eusa18: :eusa18:

isn't there a chance that Waney is pulling the old our team is crocked trick and come Saturday Bowen/lockers etc may well play? Probably wrong but it would be great if some of our established first teamers made a miraculous recovery

More likely that, as suggested previously, he's got his mind trained on the Challenge Cup. I'd say that IL is a big part player in this thinking imo, with the huge financial benefits that a Wembley Final brings. Everything else pales into insignificance to it moneywise, especially at this stage of the season, when SL points can be made up in the long run, well before final play-off places are decided in the League.

As long as our young lads give their all, I'll be happy.
You can't ask for more than that & I'm always confident in whichever team we put out ???? ????
