It wasn't a groin op! He damaged his knee badly playing at Dewsbury in the CCddtftf wrote:For a small groin op this has taken a long time
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Re: Josh
I thought he said at the time that he had hyper-extended his elbow.
I know you don't give the opposition anything in advance but our main site is terrible at posting about players and their injuries and when they're likely to be back.

Re: Josh
Be great to have him back. One option I would like to see is Josh at 1, with Budgie and the Ice Cream man on the wings. Some speed there.

Re: Josh
Charnley could make Workington loan move
The England star is on the comeback trail following injury but may be sent out to the Championship in order to work up his fitness.
England World Cup winger Josh Charnley is set to play for Championship Workington Town before he plays for double winners Wigan again.
Warriors boss Shaun Wane confirmed Super League’s top try scorer for the past two seasons will be loaned out to the Cumbrians, possibly for this Sunday’s trip to Sheffield Eagles.
Charnley plundered 43 tries in all competitions in 2013, becoming the first player in the summer era to notch 40 or more in a season.
But the MEN Sport columnist missed the start of the current campaign through injury, returned for the Warriors’ unsuccessful World Club Challenge clash with Sydney Roosters and then has been sidelined for two months due to a knee problem.
Wane confirmed Charnley is fit for Saturday’s Challenge Cup game against Castleford but won’t be considered.
“Josh trained today but I am happy with Dom Manfredi regardless,” said Wane. Asked if Charnley would go on dual registration with Workington, coached by former Salford boss, Phil Veivers, he replied: “Absolutely.
“The players know if you are coming back from injury there will be a chance you will play up there and get some fitness.
“It’s irrelevant who that player is. It is just a number. I will be going to see Workington this weekend to see how these players perform.”
Wane has had his issues with Charnley, 23, in the past. Despite two tries against the Roosters, Charnley was dropped for the next game against Wakefield and told he “had to learn to perform.”
“I like Dom, he is a good player,” he added. “He makes tough carries which is what you want.
“The only down side is he is from Leigh,” joked Wane.
Meanwhile, the Wigna boss has blasted cocky Castleford for being ‘disrespectful’ ahead of Saturday’s Tetley’s Challenge Cup quarter-final at the DW Stadium
The holders haven’t lost a home cup tie since Wane was member of the side beaten 10-2 by the Tigers at the same stage of the 1986 competition.
And he doesn’t intend to lose that proud 28-year long record against Super League’s surprise team of 2014.
“At the moment they are doing well,” Wane reluctantly conceded. “But we will see how they go at the end of the year and where they end up.
“They are very confident, bordering on over confidence with the stuff they have been saying.
“If you hear what they have been saying, you would think they have won 20 trophies in 10 years and hopefully that will be their downfall.
“My players are aware of it and it has stoked the fire some of the things that have been said. It has bordered on being disrespectful.”

Re: Josh
Matty Bowen looked he was treading water when he was chasing down murphy against Huddersfield when along came the Bullet train Budgie to knock Murphy down. Would be interesting to see how a fit Josh and Budgie would fair up in a footrace.Kaii wrote:Matty Bowen might run like its in slow motion but the little fella can moveExiled Wiganer wrote:Be great to have him back. Anyone got any stats on them. Guess they both will be even timers with a bit in beg.
