I didn't mind having on playing staff this year but it worries me that wane thinks he is a good option to go around again it was a stretch this year

Unlike most on here I'm happy to see this, while not the greatest player he doesn't let us down on the pitch and he's doing well coaching the kids.

Graeme West was great coaching young players but I did not want him in the first XVII. By all means employ James as a coach.

I think he is employed as a coach and doesn't figure on the wage cap, you've probably spoke to him also and he's under no illusions about his playing level.

If he plays he will count on the cap is my understanding
I understand where you're coming from Kaii however we have lost a lot of front row grunt and resigning James to me suggest we aren't looking at replacing that. Your right he doesn't do much wrong however he also doesn't bring much either plus he is 35 next year I'm sure he is as fit as most given his background.
I just hope his playing contract money is a very small amount

To be honest I think he's a good honest bloke to have around both on a coaching level and also at a playing level. He's not the best player in the world and doesn't pretend he is. But he brings experience,toughness and also a bit of calmness to a relatively young and inexperienced pack. Wane isn't going to say he won't play much and only if we're desperate is he. I personally don't think he'll play much but am glad he's staying.

Coaching yes but playing like I say hope his contract is small
I think it once again serves to prove the standard slip in the league when a player who in his prime couldn't get into any team other than wooden spoon faves can sign a contract with the current double champions at the age of 34/5 and it doesn't cause a massive kick off. Even him playing sporadically its a statement of standards IMO

Kafusi from Bradford has averaged more meters and made less errors than James this season.
