Leeds cast offs

Here we go again. Last year Connolly this year McDonald. If this is Maurcies idea of a good prop I cant wait to see his second row and "exciting new threequarter"

What do you expect? Of course we are only going to get players other clubs don't want. IMO this is an excellent move - just happened a bit late.

Don't worry the three quarter could turn out to be as good as Vialeki! :exc: :exc: :exc:

Must agree. However I get the feeling that the club somehow lacks the vision of old and that we have a "beggars can't be choosers" attitude from the brass in their ivory towers.

Connolly did a good job for us last season, and McDonald is the type of player everyone's been calling out for; a big, experienced prop to give us some "go-forward" off the bench.
Do you seriously expect clubs, whether here or abroad, to release their top props at this stage of the season?

I can see the similarity in the young McDonald and "strongest arms in Super League" Connelly last year. Big, experienced and as fast as a (clothes) prop

Just like Guisset he's condemned before he's even played a game! From what i can see, Mo makes his best signings when he has no other choice.

It's a pity Mo doesn't make his best decisions when he has got a choice!

The decision to release players the calibre of Robinson, Briscoe for nowt and then to import "class" the likes of Orr, Sculthorpe beggars belief.

Sorry Bud but Mo's done a good job but he's past it and should go gracefully.

Here we go again.

If I had a pound for every time this has been posted I could buy a whole ruddy team.

Briscoe would never have got a game in front of Rads so what were the club supposed to do? Play him in the under 21's for two seasons?

Robinson was average at best as a scrum half.

Of course slagging him off for these decisions ignores signings like Dallas, Carney, Godwin Guisett, C Smith and numerous other players in recent seasons.

Well you can't win on this board Dave Dave!

Some people love to say "I told you so" so they complain before the player performs, then again whether they play well or not they're gonna get whinged at for not being the equivalent to the player that was in that position in the 80's/early 90's cup winning spree...
