Would you have him...?

Post by robjoenz »

A question for all those fans that think we need a new coach...

Would you consider Ian Millward if it was a possibility? Hate him or hate him you can't deny he is one of the best coaches in SL. Out of all SL teams, Saints are the most likely to pull a win out of a defeat in the last ten minutes of a game. His tactics, although sometimes sportingly questionable, wins them games and he has taken some players that looked less than average (e.g. Gardner) and turned them into decent players. His tactics, such as using Mick Higham just when the team needs a boost gives them just that.

Would you have him?

:( I would have anyone other than Betts. Just seen the replay from Saint match last night, Millward has them playing for the full (), a feels every move for the team, none of theis dead pan face rubish that Betts uses !!

Robjoenz,
WNAC does not realise that as part of Moaning Millies contract as every games, other than when Stains are playing, guest summariser, he has to play the prima donna on screen when Stains are the televised match. I think he gets £50 every time he stands up when Stains score and £100 every time he throws up his arms in disbelief when a decision goes against them :exc:

Have Millward, not in a million years. Bring back Shaun Edwards, you would have a team where everybody gave 100% throughout the game to Wigan or else they would not be in the next games team.

Please read "lack of respect".

Where the hell is Edwards pedigree as regards a coaching position in RL?

Look at Millward's record of achievement at Saints made with far less resources than have been available at Wigan.

Millward is the type of coach I'd go for, one with a track record of achievement, ability to make tough decisions (Gleeson).

I would never trust an old boys network.

Millward is on record as saying Gleeson was sold against his (millward's) wishes.

D-o-D,
Wrong again, the only reason we don't have Edwards at Wigan is the managements idea that he is too strong a character and they could not control him!
