Golden Point
Golden Point
Why are they having the golden point?, it's not a cup game, it's not a knock out game, very poor on behalf of the RFL, a draw would have been a perfectly acceptable outcome for such a cracking game IMO (of course if we win then spot on )

Seemed like a pretty dire game to me.
We've certainly got a lot of improving to do this year. So many mistakes. So poor at making metres. So many bad decisions. Very poor against a NRL side that has no attack.

Before the lynch party assembles for Gelling, I don't blame him for what he did. After 85 minutes that game didn't deserve to end with a penalty!

Agreed ,Bentham ,as do all British refs ,need a dose of patriotism injecting in there arrisses ,the Aussie s wouldn't have awarded a penalty against there own to end such a match. That aside did Bowen want to play cos to me he's heart isn't in itKittwazzer wrote:Before the lynch party assembles for Gelling, I don't blame him for what he did. Re: Golden Point
never said it was a fantastic or an awesome game, but the intensity made it a lot better spectacle than an average SL IMO, we matched the Aussies, there was no whitewash so for me it was enjoyableMike wrote:Seemed like a pretty dire game to me.

I don't think anyone will blame Gelling what he did. He got a yellow for it didn't he which was an utterly stupid decision from the ref. Just what was the point of doing that!Kittwazzer wrote:Before the lynch party assembles for Gelling, I don't blame him for what he did. I also agree the game didn't deserve to end in that way. Brisbane were in prime position for a drop goal anyway with a clear advantage so why not let it continue?
