Re: A Disgrace to the Cher...
Nothing wrong with Betts' tactics tonight, apart from maybe playing DV at fullback (and after Melling's blunders last week he'd little choice). It was the execution that was woeful...too many dropped balls, forward passes etc.
Most of the moves they'll have been practising in training would have worked if they'd hung on to the ball - that's the players' fault, not the coach's.

Re: A Disgrace to the Cher...
Sorry GeoffN, but IMO they will just not play for Betts, he's lost it !!!

So they deliberately drop passes, run ahead of the kicker, pass forward and kick direct to the opposition simply to spite him?we_need_a_coach posted:

OK.
Past your bedtime, I think.
Re: A Disgrace to the Cher...
The common denominator in all our poor games is errors. Last week with Widnes and this week we made so many handling errors. I thought tonight we perhaps played a bit narrow but had we kept hold of the ball Brown would have made a few breaks which may have led to tries. Betts will be tearing his hair out that what they practice doesn't come to fruition on the pitch. Confidence is at an all time low but we can turn it around with a few wins and some simple RL.GeoffN posted:

Cant blame our pathetic attempts at playing rugby league on the weather, injuries or the ref. The fact is the immense lack of genuine quiality throughout the team.

I thought we showed some quality against Saints, and in the second half against Hull. Same team yet we're playing with low confidence at the moment and making stupid mistakes.ChrisA posted:

Re: A Disgrace to the Cher...
If a team loses confidence in the coach, the easiest way out, is to introduce errors into the game, after a few (or alot) of losses he'll go !!
Re: A Disgrace to the Cher...
not being funny but didn't they win though i know they was cr*p but have they lost confidence in the coach like you said because they didn't lose the game did they even though it looked like they was trying to.we_need_a_coach posted:

don't eat yellow snow
Re: A Disgrace to the Cher...
So the errors are on purpose and the players way of putting their message across to Denis. Interesting theory WNAC.we_need_a_coach posted:

Was watching the NRL at Marios before and he suggested you ought to be called 'We A Need Coach.'

Re: A Disgrace to the Cher...
the number of handling errors has been shocking this season . it,s the result of lack of confidence and pressure from having to perform with an under strengh squad. if we can sort this the turn round in our results should be dramatic
