19-Man Squad for Castleford Clash

Post by josie andrews »

Wigan Warriors head coach Shaun Wane has named his 19-man squad for this Fridays Super League trip to Castleford.

The Warriors will look to bounce back after Sunday's 22-20 defeat to Hull KR when they take on the Tigers on Friday night.

Fullback Matt Bowen returns to the squad and Lee Mossop retains his place after receiving a late call to make his second debut for the Club last weekend.

England centre Dan Sarginson keeps his spot in the squad despite missing the loss at Hull KR with a dead leg. Elsewhere, wingman Dom Manfredi comes into the travelling party while youngsters Ryan Hampshire and Connor Farrell drop out.

Wigan Warriors 19-Man Squad

John Bateman, Matt Bowen, Joe Burgess, Josh Charnley, Tony Clubb, Liam Farrell, Anthony Gelling, James Greenwood, Dom Manfredi, Michael McIlorum, Lee Mossop, Larne Patrick, Sam Powell, Dan Sarginson, Matty Smith, Ryan Sutton, Taulima Tautai, Joel Tomkins, George Williams

Referee - Tim Roby

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Why do we always play Cas away beginning of Season? apart from 2011...

Cas have been unlucky not to beat teams playing a lot better than us

this is going to be far from an easy match and i can see them turning us over unless we really find some form

Could be worse we could be playing Sunday that's more of a hoodoo if you check the results for the last few seasons.

I think we will get comfortably beat, our shocking discipline and handling should be enough, but if they improve our non existent attack and let's be honest dumb and crap game plan should cause a loss
