Challenge Cup draw

Post by Fraggle »

Leeds vs London
St Helens vs Wigan
Toulouse vs Widnes
Hull vs Leigh

Well, we've not played Sts in the cup since last year, or 2002, 2001...

Yep, I was typing this whilst listening to the draw on the web. It's getting a bit predictable, us playing Saints in the cup. Ok, so it was Bradford in 2002 but a bit of variety might be nice. There are 12 SL teams, so how come we end up playing Saints so often in this competition? (Question directed at Mr BBC Scheduling Person who wants as big a tv audience as possible...)

What are you moaning about, we where gifted a route to the final last year, where you moaning about that ? no you wernt.

Leeds drew Saints in the semi final 2 or 3 years running a few years back, shit happens in the draw, deal with it.

Saints had to beat Leeds Bradford and hull to get to the final last year, we had to play a very bad Warrington side in the semi.

This year we are a terrible side, and i would sooner play Saints now than in the final.

How can you fix a draw drawn out of the hat live on the tele?

I had everything crossed for an away draw to Toulouse, that would have been nice! However, Saints is who we've got and improve is what we must do before we play them, as well as get some players back.

Sense at last, some people blame everyone but our own club for anything that goes wrong, its the ref, its the draw, it was the weather, it was Ganesha the hindu elephant gods fault.
No we are a bad side, face it, if we wernt, you wouldnt be here bitching about this becasue you knew we would have a good chance of winning.

Well who's fault is it for being in that draw?

Why are you already nblaming the fact that "we are a bad side" ? We haven't played and are nowhere near it, so everyone should stop whinging about it and just accept we are playing saints and we do have a chance of winning it.

Hang about, where've I been bitching?

I've never denied Wigan are playing poorly of late, so obviously we need to improve to beat Saints who are playing well. However, we often raise our game for them.

I didn't want Toulouse away because I thought it was an easy draw, I just wanted an excuse for a trip to France :D
