Top overseas players off contract this year...

Post by GeoffN »

Here's a nice selection of OZ or NZ international players for Mo's secret agents to look at...

We have one quota spot available - who would you go for, and why?

Chris Flannery, Willie Mason, Braith Anasta, Luke Bailey, Simon Woolford, Brett Finch, Jason Cayless, Matt Bowen, Shaun Berrigan, Matt Orford, Ryan O'Hara, Clinton Schifcofske, Preston Campbell, Matt King, Chris Walker, Danny Buderus.

My choice would be either Cayless or Mason.
We need a prop.

Thought Mason had signed a deal?
Bulldogs have offered anasta $300,000 a year.

Hadn't heard that Mason had signed - last I heard he was considering a switch to Union.

The Anasta story looks to me like his agent trying to up his price!
Can't see him displacing Langer in the Aus team any time soon, despite his Origin place.

Finch or Orford as Moran is poor, very poor. I think we play better with 3 props than 4 anyway. It makes us play the game up the middle which we have no size for.

I'd still try and swipe Johns as his brother said he loved it here and the club did everything for him even when he had to leave for personal reasons..

Mason for me - we need a big crash and bash merchant - if we get the line breaks and go forward up the middle then the backs and particularly wingers (because that's one area of the team that we have a couple of world beaters) we might actually get some broken field play!

Frano: I don't know why I would ever want to go to St Helens or Leeds
