Each player promoted to the first team has fantastic potential IMO.

Congratulations to all five they are all great prospects but I particularly like the look of Higginson, is he a year younger than the others? He might be the solution to our kicking problems in a year or two.

There are some excellent prospects being promoted from the U16s, it is good to see that we are recruiting guys with both size and skill.

With the large number being promoted to the Under 19's squad, a indication that there will be a return to a higher age group league next season with each club allowed to play a certain number of over aged players?

We've always promoted large numbers but I hope for the sake of rugby league that we do introduce an U21 competition. I am of the view that to be a SL outfit you should have teams competing at U16, U19 and U21 level.

The salary cap also needs to recognise the value of players promoted from the junior system of each club. The situation in Hull is not satisfactory in my view, they choose to pay big sums for overseas players and at the same time they merge their academy with HKR! For a hotbed of rugby league that decision is criminal. The RFL need to put plans in place to protect our international future.

There seems to be a serious likelihood of a Reserve League coming back next season. About time too.

18 / 19 from memory. I think young people are growing taller across the boards than past generations albeit obesity is becoming a national epidemic.

I've only watched them a couple of times this season but from what I have seen I agree. Wigan should be rewarded for producing this talent, the RFL need to wake up and smell the coffee and realise that all the effort put into coaching and grooming these lads should result in a relaxation of the salary cap for juniors making the grade.
