Gallows Pole being constructed for Sam Burgess.

Barritt was worse than Sam B IMO. However, I now do not have to watch the game v Aus

Re: Gallows Pole being constructed for Sam Burgess.
Adrian Durham on talksport has played a blinder with this all week
he's a Hull FC fan (think from Uni days) but appears to take an active interest in RL, and last year said he should have been SPOTY based on his performance in the Oz GF, he knew a lot about SB
anything that has remotely happened in the world of anything this week has been blamed on SB and he's had a good go at the old boys RU network for the fact they cant accept that someone from another sport is actually better than they can produce themselves

Never thought I would want an Aussie team to win anything, but I do this! Shall be interesting as I'm in San Diego and there's a few Aussies at the conference, I hope they understand!cpwigan wrote:Barritt was worse than Sam B IMO. However, I now do not have to watch the game v Aus

Hate to say it but an Aus win would be great. It would kill the world cup in England.endoman wrote:Never thought I would want an Aussie team to win anything, but I do this! Let's hope so. Wonder what effect it will have on Burgess' decisions if that happens?cpwigan wrote:Hate to say it but an Aus win would be great. Sadly and I don't like saying it but rugby union is the only sport where I always want the other team to beat England.cpwigan wrote:Hate to say it but an Aus win would be great. I dislike rugby union, the organisation so much it leans me that way.
What has Sam Burgess done to deserve such negativity, their media bias is so hateful towards anything Rugby League that it's beyond belief.
Re: Gallows Pole being constructed for Sam Burgess.
Ridiculous to expect a prop forward to play another professional sport in a different specialist position with no prior preparation. Sonny Bill was given TWO YEARS full time playing for Stade France whist being tutored by the great New Zealand centre Umaga in the same side. The whole team effort by England was shambolic. Step forward Lancaster and A. Farrell failure to put forward a coherent side after a good 4 years of preparation. My instinct is the Union crowd were fairly reasonable with SB ,while keeping powder dry till we are out of the competition when the criticism will quite rightly hit hurricane level.SB will end up no 6 at Bath ,and could easily be in the 2019 ENGLAND side in his own right.

Top post MP, my only hope is that Sam B returns to Rugby League after the union world cup, however, I fear that the RFL will make it financially viable for him to stay as he is such a talent. I hope the negative UK press and Aussie lifestyle bring him back to our game.menpond wrote:Ridiculous to expect a prop forward to play another professional sport in a different specialist position with no prior preparation. Hopefully a telling example for League players that switching to Union has some huge negatives.
Personally, I am deeply offended that Union players past not fit to lick Sam Bs boots en-mass cast negative judgement on his ability.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
