Wigan Warriors name squad for 2015 First Utility Super League Grand Final
Taulima Tautai and Anthony Gelling return to squad
Tickets for the game sold out, coverage on Sky Sports 1 from 5pm on Saturday evening
Wigan Warriors have today named their squad for the 2015 First Utility Super League Grand Final.
Wigan will face Leeds in the most eagerly anticipated Super League Grand Final to date.
Tickets for the game were snapped up on Tuesday meaning over 73,000 people will pack out Old Trafford on Saturday evening.
The Warriors make two changes to their squad for the game with Taulima Tautai returning from suspension and Anthony Gelling drafted back into the squad.
Speaking ahead of the game, Wigan Warriors Head Coach Shaun Wane said: “It’s first against second, the final that everyone wanted.
“Leeds are the form team, they’ve won everything this year so far. It will be tough, we’ve every respect for them.”
Wane says he is under no illusion as to the size of the task awaiting his side.
“They’re really well coached,” he continued “They’ve got some fantastic individual talents, real big athletes. It will be a huge challenge but we are really looking forward to it.
“We’ve got talent in our team too and it has all the makings of a fantastic game in front of a full house.”
Wigan Warriors 19-Man Squad
John Bateman, Matt Bowen, Joe Burgess, Tony Clubb, Dom Crosby, Liam Farrell, Ben Flower, Anthony Gelling, Oliver Gildart, Dom Manfredi, Michael McIlorum, Lee Mossop, Sean O’Loughlin, Larne Patrick, Sam Powell, Matty Smith, Taulima Tautai, Joel Tomkins and George Williams.
Referee - Ben Thaler
Tickets for the Grand Final have now sold out, the game is live on Sky Sports 1 with coverage starting at 5pm and the game kicking-off at 6pm.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Charnley doesn't even make the squad, his fall is dramatic!

Re: Grand Final Squad
Squad leaves it open for a bench full of forwards potentially.
Still not sure he will go that way though.

Above reflects my reaction also. But I trust SW as coach. Hope it's not misplaced.
Re: Grand Final Squad
Unless Josh is injured, missing out on the final could see him on his way out of the club fairly soon.
Re: Grand Final Squad
I would hope he is more professional then that. He isn't as good as our other two wingers at the moment and you could not justifiably have him in the squad ahead of them. Josh needs to knuckle down in pre season and get back to the form he had 2-3 years ago.jobo wrote:Unless Josh is injured, missing out on the final could see him on his way out of the club fairly soon.
Re: Grand Final Squad
There's no way he was going to replace burgess or manfredi after the semi final and last few weeks. So what difference does it make being in the squad?
