McNamara in no rush to commit his future to England

Post by josie andrews »

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Who's bothered? Shouldn't be in the job in the first place.

England have a lot of quality players and nowhere near fulfil their potential.
Imagine how good they could be if they had a coach like Bennett or Bellamy or Robinson in charge.
McNamara should go.
His record at club level was awful and at International level even worse.

International coaches don't get a lot of time with the squads so appart from selecting the team I'm not sure they have massive influence TBH.

Correct. Following Noble's departure his embarrassing stint as coach marked the beginning of the end for Bradford. Some people are just born lucky I suppose!

I think the writing was on the wall at Bradford lone before Noble left. They stopped replacing quality players like-for-like and went down the budget route. Unfortunately we are doing the same, but I don't think that it indicates we are in serious financial trouble like the Bulls were at the time. We just have a financially "prudent" chairman...

If he doesn't win this series 3-0 then it's time to go. Gives the next man in a bit of time to assess and work on things before the next world cup.

No matter who is selected as the England Coach, there will always be some who will disagree with the selection, especially if the person selected is from the opposite side of the Pennines to where they live or what club they support.

No matter what we supporters think or want, the choice is made by the RFL!

Id rather see McDermot, Powell or Anderson in charge than him.

The only worry I would have if a part time coach took the reigns would be player favourability i.e. Ablett getting picked over Farrell for example or coaches playing Lockers for example to burn him out for the season.

McNamara simply has a very very poor record as domestic and national coach. It isn't good enough. Our team changes every single series, theres no consistency or progress.
