Betts MUST stay....

:doz:

The problem at this club is NOT Dennis Betts. Remember we have J Monie who was brilliant with a good team and not so good with a bad one.

The fault lies with the management and in particular the recruitment of players.

Its a good idea to have a team basically filled with talented local young players. As we have done in the past. But remember they had world class players around them Hanley, Offiah etc to pull games like last night out of the bag. Unfortunately and this is the REAL problem now we have ordinary players Liki, Guissett, etc and they are not capable of that extra bit of magic thats required. And most worrying of all things are not changing in the near future. B Fletcher will be 32 years of age when he arrives and is currently not playing because of a ham string problem (sounds familiar doesnt it) CHANGE the management or we could go down....

Can't see us going down, I think we'll manage the results against Leigh, Widnes and Salford even if we can't manage to beat anyone else!

Even if we did change coach I don't see what a new coach could do for the remainder of this season. We have managed to show we could play well against Warrington and the first half last night we looked even better than that. It seems to be the commitment of the players that lets us down in the last 20 or 40 minutes, combined with that we just looked exhausted. It should have been the other way around last night.

If we bring a new coach in we'll still be looking at 5-8 in the league IMO. I reckon we can make 5 or 6 with Betts.

If we play like that again Leigh will batter us ! They will be up for the game and battle ready….but hey that’s a while off yet and its defiantly one game at a time mode for our lads

John Monie was never this bad

Isn't Betts part of the management?

Don't seem to remember these guys having to pull too many games out of the bag - we were normally home and hosed before half time!!

Well said buddyboy. What all these others seem to be forgetting is that Denis is only the Assistant Coach, Mike Gregory is still officially the coach until October. As I have said before Denis has had this job thrown on him with nothing to work with, partly due to the Chairman and partly due to injuries.

It has not helped having so liabilties like Orr, and although he scored a try last night, Moran. If you haven't got a half back pairing you aint got a team, and we don't have one. A great number of the Wigan players on the pitch last night did not give any committment in eith half. They are the ones who should be going through the doors, and good riddance to them.

We can only hope that some of these players get some pride from somewhere instead of just being clothes carriers for the Wigan stip.

I thaught Moran played quite well last night. And when Orr went off it showed. Does anyone know why orr went off? Ive not been impressed with Kevin Brown this season as he has made to many basic errors as most of the lads did last night. Not been a good sporting weekend for me. Wigan and United losing :( [/quote]

It's rubbish isn't it. I was hoping for some relief from Man U but I just got another game that frustrated me and ultimately left me speechless. :conf:
