Micky is definitely out and it sounds like Smith, Isa and Charnley too, what team do we play?

F: Tierney
W: Gildart
C: Gelling
C: Sarginson
W: Manfredi
SO:Williams
SH:Powell/Hampshire??
P: Sutton
H: Lockers
P: Flower
SR:Faz
SR:Burke
L: Bateman

Subs:
Clubb??? (Shoulder??)
Mossop (Is he fit?)
Tautai
(A youngster??)

What I do know is we cant afford any more injuries or Waney and Rads will be pulling a shirt on!

Is Charnley injured? Won us the match last week at Huddersfield with tackle then try and not a mention on Saturday.

I don't agree with the he square peg round hole approach so for me Waterworth or Gannson should get a gig. The decision to let Hampshire go out on loan will look foolish if Smith is missing for any length of time, having said that I don't think Smith is good enough for Wigan. It is laughable to think that we have very little quality cover for the most important positions in the team 1,6,7,9 - somebody needs to tell us why.

According to WEP Waterworth is injured and won't be back till April leaving 18yr old Ganson as our only other recognised hooker.

I would look to be giving the likes of Burke and Mossop some game time.

Depends on who has to pass late fitness tests. Could even see Lockers at 7 and Burke start at 13 if Smith is ruled out

cherry.pie wrote:My guess for the team would be something like;

Tierney

Manfredi
Gelling
Sarginson
Gildart (personally I'd have Gildart centre and Sarge on the wing)

Williams
Smith

Flower
Powell
O'Loughlin

Bateman
Farrell
Burke

Bench - Tautai, Clubb, Mossop, Sutton.

I'd guess O'Loughlin will move to hooker for a short spell with Powell playing about 55-65 minutes in total.
I was saying the same on Saturday about the wing/centre combo.

I'm really hoping we don't go with Lockers at prop. A longer game time and more involvement with the play is essential given the injuries. 13 with a cover spell at 9 for him this week in my eyes - and that's if we don't need to play him in the halves.
