Wigan looking at NRL half backs
Heard a couple of days ago that we were looking at a couple of nrl half backs but they were asking crazy money, has anybody else heard anything similar? I wasn't given any names of players whether they were 1st team or reserve grade.

We are definitely looking for a new half back for 2017.

HALLELUJAH, Has the penny finally dropped on why we are not a class footballing side. I was recently wondering if Wigan had had this side when I was a lad in the late 40s, would I have become the dedicated fool I am.

What's the point??? Wane won't allow them to play their game anyway!! We could have the most creative half back out there and wane will coach that creativity out of them!! Structure structure and more structure!!

There are some great halfbacks in the lower league that cannot get into an NRL side, we need our old coach at the Rabbitoes to advise us of what is available.

Given that SW said on madge's leaving there were things to "iron out" in the team, what's the likely hood of that d?

Better still we need to get rid of Wane and get Madge back. If I was any owner in this country then I would want an Aussie coach.ddtftf wrote:There are some great halfbacks in the lower league that cannot get into an NRL side, we need our old coach at the Rabbitoes to advise us of what is available.

Re: Wigan looking at NRL half backs
The key to success is a settled halves pairing who know each others games.
Walters/Langer
Sterling/Kenny
Burrow McGuire
Wigan need to get rid of Smith, move Williams to 7 and Hampshire to 6.
stick with them, they each others game inside out and they will grow together.

These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

Well heaven forbid but they could actually be dropped if they don't perform....Caboosegg wrote:if this is true whos going?

A team has to nominate a 25 man first team squad. There ought to be room in that for another half back.
