We've already got Lockers, the next GB captain, whilst Dave Allen is waiting in the wings as well (and should be playing there now in Sean's absence instead of Steven Wild IMO).
I agree. Unless the thread about Gleeson Jr is correct Wild will be in the centre so surely it is Allen's turn again at 13?

I am just not impressed with Wild this season and if we had a fit squad he wouldn't get a look in IMO.

Give Allen some game time.

Dave this isn't right, yet again we agree. Hansen, Tickle Allen should be our 11,12,13 on Monday
Oh I am sure we will find something to fall out about soon , but yes that should be our back row although I see Tomkins is going to be in the 20.

I wonder if IM is going to play him at 13? Risky idea if so.

When i watch David Allen play he just seems....average. Nothing special lockers is good and you can see in the future he will be brilliant. But David Allen just seems like one of those players who fades away. I honestly don't think he is that good. I have thought, ill probably get lots of critisism for this, that if we put Wayne Godwin at Loose forward then i think we might get more creative play. I know he isn't big enough but maybe having Orr, Moran, Newton Godwin on the field at once would be more beneficial. Seein as Wild is not that creative in Loose forward and looks like he is just playing centre there and i couldn't imagine Allen doing any better i think that that would be better.

You're probably right, but really my point was that we've been playing Wild at 13, who's a 2nd rower who keeps being put in the centres, whereas we've got Dave Allen in the squad who is a specialist loose forward. Allen's certainly no worse than Wild in that position, so why are we not putting the specialist players in their normal position instead of playing someone else out-of-position? Godwin may be an interesting option, not sure if he's really big enough to play there but the extra creativity of another good ball-handler would be welcome at the moment.

yes but then we'll be lacking creativity on the bench incase one of them gets injured, plus the fact he isn't too experienced in that department, its a good idea but i think having a second rower playing there is a better idea. As for wild not being creative in loose forward, it'd be nice if he could be at all creative.
Tomkins looked good if i remember rightly last time he played, very eager, keen to get involved just what we need at the moment.

Has the squad been announced, DaveO? I haven't seen that anywhere.

It's on RLFans along with the same sean gleeson rumour, but with no sources named, think its just a guessing game at the moment.

I still stick by my opinion on Wild. I think he's a good player nowand if he tries, he'll be brilliant in the future. Get rid of the handling mistakes and the breaks he makes might actually come off for us.

i think wild is missing sean oloughlin, lockers spent a lot of time playing down his wing making breaks or creating them for wild, lockers made a lot of space down that side of the pitch. i do think wild is a good player but a little 2 lazy to play in the forwards.
