Two big events next Saturday in Wigan. It's Cass in the evening but from 10am onwards, it's Armed Forces Day and parade in the town centre. Something going on all day so come down and have a chat at the exhibits, chat to current and ex servicemen, climb all over a tank if you want 'cos all the kids do.
There will be a fair assortment of military vehicles plus a classic car show of fifties and sixties cars and motor cycles.
Just hoping for decent weather.
Armed Forces Day, Saturday 25th June.

Why aren't the Club offering free admission to the game to serving members of the armed forces when the ground will be 75% empty.bill.inger wrote:Two big events next Saturday in Wigan. A PR opportunity missed again.

Weather-wise, it's going to be a reasonable day tomorrow so get into town and support the lads in the forces, celebrate yesterday and get warmed up for the Cass game later.
I'll be on the classic car display, just hoping we get a reasonable turn-out for what ought to be a good day.

Was nice sat out side the Raven having a pint and watching the Spitfire fly overhead.
