Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

When our play has become so dependent on who is actually refereeing the game you know you have issues :eh:

The biggest Room is the Room for improvement.

The best form of defence is attack!!

Out of the black and into the red, remember you don't get anything for two in a bed!!

All refs make mistakes of course, but Thaler is still the best in the comp in my book. I'd sooner have him than most of the rest.

There certain referees that I see officiating that fill me with dread (Child, Hicks, Bentham) but our fate is in our own hands with the others.

One way of overcoming refs mistakes would be a Captain's Challenge. In TV games the VR would be asked to replay it and see the incident again.

One from last weekend in the Saints/Cats game was when Saints knocked on, the Cats player picked the ball up clean and was off under the posts. Child blew up for a double knock on which it clearly wasn't.

With a C.C. then Cats would have continued to run with the ball, score and when Child blew knock on their Captain would put in a formal Challenge.

Agree Thaler is one of the best if not the best.
The C.C. would stop refs from making errors on scores which could and do affect the results.

Perhaps CC could be Child Challenge as well as Captain's Challenge
