Thanks Mike for keeping the forum going for so long.

I'm going to miss the debates and even the electronic fisticuffs.

Many thanks Mike for being so professional about running the site. I find it the one I am most comfortable with, despite the spite sometimes. Best of luck for the future.

Having moved away from the NW this forum became even more important to me, sniping aside.

Thanks very much Mike for all your work, it will be a very sad day for me when it ends, but I wish you all the best for the future

As the forum is about the fan support of a multi national company owned by a multi millionaire it seems a shame to close downn a popular forum if all that's needed is a small cash investment.

It's not just money, though, is it, it's time as well.

I haven't hardly been here five minutes really, but I'd like to echo the thanks posted upthread for the effort that has been put into running this site for all our benefits.

And I hope the virtual voices here aren't lost in the ether, but find a new home somewhere else. :)

I'm so so sorry to hear this Mike!
With me living in Germany it gave me the chance to interact with everybody on every topic.
But I understand where your coming from and I can only offer you an enormous Thank You and all the best for the future.
Surely somebody will pick up the baton?

To be fair Mike DID ask for some help on 25th June but of course the "usual suspect" had to drag it into another derailment

I am fairly certain it has never been about financial cost with Mike. I would hazard at an educated guess that real life circumstances prevent him from devoting the time he requires to operating a website/forum as he once had/did.

Nothing to stop other(s) from either taking over this site or creating their own.
