Why the optimism on that? They have not sorted it out for over two seasons so sorting it in four months goes against the grain.Wiganer Ted wrote: Goal kicking is an unknown at this stage but the club do seem on top of most things so I'd expect they'll have this sorted in four months time.

Re: My worry for next year's squad
We had a regular goal kicker wh won us numerous games with drop goals as much as place kicks. Not the highest percentage but there you go.
Who will replace him I don't know.
This thread is about worries for next season.
I haven't any.
Goal kicking is an unknown not a worry for me.

I like the Aussie attitude to drug taking not! Half a dozen Cronulla players have just been found guilty of drug taking in 2011 including Paul Aiton Leeds/Les Cats and Colin Best Hull KR? but no punishments handed out as too long ago and time expired?? Obviously not Olympic athletes then but can we ensure that all the Cronulla team is drug tested before our game or will it have to be played in Oz where they obviously have different rules.

And yet if you believed Shaun Wane we had 1 million pounds of salary cap in the stands for the semi final.TrueBlueWarrior wrote:Brilliant Wes!!Wes wrote:I'm right with you I mean you only have to look at the padding!Wintergreen wrote:Two Tomkins

3 players. Wonder what percentage of the Salary Cap they take up?
The squad then padded out with cheap and cheerful youngsters.
Gelling
Farrell
Bateman
Burgess
Mcillorum
Manfredi
Escare
Club
Sutton
FPN
Tautai
Williams
Etc etc etc they are all cheap and shocking ..........
What's the cap again? £1.8m?
Looks like those in your list aren't exactly on top dollar does it?

Re: My worry for next year's squad
We need another centre. That's my worry. As far as I can tell we've got 2 and gelling had a few injury problems this season.
I know with everyone fit we're well set in the back row so Bateman is cover but he himself has said he prefers playing in the pack.
The issue for me is I really like Gildart and don't want someone coming in meaning he misses out, that means signing a backup centre but who of any quality would come as backup?

That's true, no experienced centre will come in "just in case" Gildart or Gelling gets injured. So Wane will have Higginson and Forsythe available plus the option to move Bateman or Isa into the centre position if necessary.sheepsteeth wrote:We need another centre. That's my worry. Re: My worry for next year's squad
Isa ceased to be a "centre", even a stop-gap, one years ago. With the amount of strapping he had on his knee all this season I thought that would have been patently obvious
More likely see Powell play there than Isa

At times Isa was more bandage than man last season.
