He's a massive miss as is Bateman.

Our mobile back row is vital to our success. I thought Joel did well today though. Is Faz had played today we would have won. No drama though. Shaun WAne will be celebrating a double at the end of this season.

Agree with all the positives re Faz, in fact our 11/12/13 is one of our major strengths and I wouldn't swap for any others in the league. Just a pity that combination (Bateman, Faz, SOL) was missing today, as in my mind those omissions had a critical bearing on the performance/result today.

Faz is a back row who plays like a centre. I posted several times last season I thought he'd make a huge difference when he returned and he did.

What interests me though is given the way Faz plays the game is why his style is notn mimicked by others. It is obviously very effective so why doesn't Wane get any replacement running the same lines?

Maybe partly because not many back-rowers have his footwork or pace?

Well Isa was a centre before he came here so he ought to have. I don't know much about the junior players but why not assess if one or two could play the game like Faz and encourage them to play that way?

It just seems odd to me if we have players who do X and X works we don't encourage other players to do X as well. We should not really miss Faz as much as we do.

Running those lines comes naturally to Faz. Others would have to be tought. It all comes down to instinct and natural talent. Bateman does it his way, as do Joel and Willie. They are all different but complement each other at the same time which is great for the team.

The value of a world class 2nd row is invaluable!!
