Point lost or a point gained?

Given the circumstances a point gained for me. Our game plan in the first half seemed to be the opposite of what has stood us in good stead this season. We will have to apply the sticking plasters and do it all again on Friday.

Point won but if we had lost it would have made little difference. We will win the CC and GF.

A point gained no doubt.
Losing 2 players in the first 10 minutes was unfortunate. And there is no doubt that Hudds were well up for this. They played well.
So we were lucky to get a point, and even luckier that Salford did us a favour.

I could not go to the match (wife's 60th birthday so a good excuse!) so I don't know how they played or what transpired but just looking at the bald facts it has got to be a point lost.

We scored 3 tries to their 2. We were at home and Hudds have been poor this season so far. We on the other hand have looked better on attack than the past two seasons.

So taking those things into account something went wrong and it is a point lost.

Hudds came to slow the game down as much as possible. Our pack was bad yesterday and got knocked back which doesn't normally happen. We wanted to score on every play instead of building pressure. Losing 2 players early was a blow. We played a bit dumb, got a point and Hudds celebrated like they'd won the league. Make of it what you want. A point gained or lost, gone top with our worst performance this year. I'll take that ????

Love your confidence.
It's a point gained as opposed to two gained

Definitely gained in the scheme of things. Given that other teams at the top usually have better poirnts difference dropping a single point doesn't harm us at all. Plus, Cas' defeat was sweet.

I was thinking about the last time we dropped points - the awful Widnes game again followed a break with us lethargic and slow. I have long suspected that we break our season down into sections where we want everyone firing. It would not surprise me if we haven't broken down the training so that we will hit the ground running, and the. expect a lull around now. Spreading efforts across a season is vital, even if it means we lose a couple in March. I expect us to be setting our sights on the 4 game Easter schedule next and so could be off the pace for tue next couple of weeks before picking up again. That would be how I would try to tailor training patterns if I were in charge.

To come out of things top of the league after such an uninspired day definitely meant it felt like a point gained on the balance of the game.
