Defence

We have the 3rd best defence this season, which shows that in general we are tackling ok, so it proves what we already know that its when we have ball in hand that we start to struggle.

I am quite surprised about the defensive record because some of the tries conceded v Hull for example were very soft (first and last tries).

If we can let those in and still be relatively good compared to other teams then they can't be up to much defensivley!

The problem for us though is that despite our good defence other teams with poorer defences than us are way better on attack thus win more games than us and are higher up the table. Obviously.

true but its no good having a good defence if you cant get over your opponents line

Yeah we are letting too many easy tries in. We're playing tick rugby, still. We don't understand the advantage of being in a defensive line rather than randomly placed, we're turning our backs on play too much, falling for dummy passes, not tackling hard enough and we've still statistically got a good defense.
