I read somewhere that IL had said we need to win five games in the play offs to make top 4.
It would appear he is nothing but a dreaming narcisist?

promotes the sport. holding outside the heartland of RL is good. helps promote the club to a new audience and helps money come into the club

The evidence for this comment is where?

Magic weekend is played outside the heartland and has been for many years, it is a much bigger advert for the game than a single exhibition match.

Ive said before the key to growing the sport outside the heartlands is not teams or the league, its people. You need the players to transcend the sport like Sam did in his first stint. Casuals are likely to invest in a person then pick up a team secondly if they have no emotional connection to start with.

So you're off to Oz for a home match then?
As I said, dreaming narcisist.

All Lenaghan is interested in is promoting and improving his business interests,if Wigan Rugby benefit from that then its a bonus but he is making a laughing stock of our club, where is the next game going to be? Anywhere that suits him regardless of cost to Wigan supporters.

I both agree amd disagree strongly with this. Wigan could make a good go and get a very big crowd for this game. Londoners are far more likely to attend an event (10s of thousands of southerners go to internationals) than a struggling Super League side. It would please sponsors, many of whom live the HAC game where we give our under 19s an outing.
Plus, from the players' perspective, it must be a good thing for them to enjoy another big event (in addition to the NSW Tour).
But, Wigan is a Wigan club. The people of Wigan have built up this great club - in our schools, our clubs, our support. First and foremost the club needs to make sure that it looks after its own.
I think the game should play more event games in London, and if we were one of a number fthat clubs to play this sort of game, then I would not object.
Is there an expression - concentrate on the knitting or something? Wigan are Wigan in Wigan.

Oh my god this again?

We have heard it all before millwall was going to promote the sport club naff all came of that,no doubt a few hardy souls will make the trip down under and it'll be a massive success though no tangible benefit to the club as the people who go week in week out just feel more alienated by him.

He is losing the plot the odd game here or there won't work all it does is hack people off.

THIS - well said Fozzie

On top of the farce over the Widnes game, cup games being moved to neutral venues etc etc fans (who put up with enough abuse from opposition "fans") we now get a kicking in the bollox from a chairman who appears to not care one iota about his paying customers any more. We can all go and do one as he fixes games up everywhere for Wigan BUT in Wigan, even at the expense of them being "home" fixtures
