Absolutely loved him when he played for us, class act, some on here didn’t rate him and that’s the reason sometimes I struggle to value their opinion! :eh:

Not Wigan standard

Now Now you know that we always get players with open arms and give them time to bed in. Your not telling me that some on here regarded him when signed not Wigan standard.medlocke wrote:Not Wigan standard

Agreed, too good for usmedlocke wrote:Not Wigan standard
TBH I'd have him back in a heartbeat.
Last couple of seasons he has developed and could run the team allowing the talent to play off him?

Seems a few people have 20:20 hindsight
Remember Denis Moran? We didn't sign him because he looked poor did we and look how that turned out. On the other hand Carmont was an unknown quantity and turned out to be a star. Same with Green. How players who aren't recognised star players turn out is a lottery, even more so under Wane who has a knack of signing players who look good against us only to make them average.

Re: Is this the guy we need?
Can't be any good as he improved massively under Wane and we know that never happens.
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

Blake Green was generally good but crucially, he was a brilliant big-match player. It's unprovable but my guess is that if we had had him playing at Wembley, we wouldn't have lost.
