A good player and a good signing.
Here by the end of the month, still a lot of rugby to be played.

Been a very good day for Wigan all in all, Just need the announcement of Mal Meninga as head coach with Brett Kimmorley as assistant coach and all will be well :D

Pfft. Another NRL failure. Can't make the Titans team. IL's charitable policy of signing Wigan players who failed to make it in the NRL has now been extended to ex Saints players

(And yes I am joking...)

I'm guessing Greenwood wants some game time at SL Level rather than play in the stiffs so he will get the balance of JT's salary for this year prior to the money for the three year deal that had already been negotiated. Joel gets new contract at HKR, club seen to be doing the right thing in getting rid and everyone's happy(ish).

Thought he went OK at Gold Coast who are unpredictable and not top draw NRL.
Good signing - hopefully a great signing or two will follow :)

Sack him!

Although it is a bit pushy by the club in terms of language used to make it look like they're on top of everything, "with immediate effect". "Joe Greenwood signs" would have been more appropriate... As we have to wait until end of June for him anyway

James Slevin
Ces Mountford
And the “kind of rugby player you’d want to be in your dreams” James Leytham
Should be in the Wigan Warriors Hall

I expect Wane will lay him at prop anyway. After all why wouldn't you play an excellent 2nd rower at prop?

So expect to see him going to ground to find a quick PTB and being told off for driving it in if he does that rather than being the strong running back row forward he is.

If so, we will have to wait until next season to see the best of him.
