WIGAN WARRIORS CROWNED WOMEN'S SUPER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS
Rachel Thompson scored a hat-trick of tries as Wigan Warriors beat Leeds Rhinos to win the Women's Super League Grand Final for the first time.
The match was tied at 16-all heading into the final minute, but Charlotte Foley's penalty handed Wigan victory at the Manchester Regional Arena.
The Warriors had earlier led by 10 points thanks to Thompson's teble and a score from Georgia Wilson.
Tries from 17-year-old Caitlin Beevers and Suze Hill, added to two Courtney Hill goals, levelled it late on for Leeds, but the Rhinos were denied an historic treble by Foley's kick.

The Challenge Cup and League Leaders' Shield winners had opened the scoring through stand-in hooker Rhiannon Marshall.
This was only the second Women's Super League Grand Final, after Bradford Bulls won the inaugural competition in 2017.
