Hull Enquire About Aspy

Post by ChrisA »

Hull have released Michael Eager and John Kear has enquired about taking Aspy or Wild, but he has other players who he would like to sign for the centres. I think he wanted one of them in time for the playoffs, not sure if we can afford to lose one of them before the season finishes, but once the seasons over I will gladly walk the length of thew M62 with their bags if it means we get rid of them.

Interviewer: So that obviously means that you're not going to St Helens and you're not going to Leeds?

Frano: I don't know why I would ever want to go to St Helens or Leeds

Millward knows his stuff...

Millward said: "I'd like to keep Martin. I'm looking to strengthen the team, not get rid of players.
"He's a good kid and great to work with.
"He's off contract at the end of the season, but if he continues to produce the kind of form he has done for the last couple of weeks, then he will get himself a contract."

Well someone has to leave or accept less than £20K a year because with all our signings I reckon we have potentially 23 players on over £20K if we keep all this years lot. And that includes Carney having left I think.

Sign Calderwood as rumoured and I can't see how we can do it. The out of contract players have got to be favourite for the chop as they won't need paying off.

Wild has a contract for next season so for him to leave another club would have to be interested.
